Parenting Product Pick: Sandbag Sandy with the Baby Cargo 200 Stroller

The Metro Moms are passionate about our strollers. We have walked around the Hoboken area with eleven children, logging hundreds of miles taking them to school, playgrounds and grocery stores. So when the kind people at Baby Cargo sent us a 200 Series Lightweight Stroller, retailing for $149.99 at Amazon, our editors gave that baby a workout. Along with our babies, ages 7 months, two, four and six years.

The 200 arrived two weeks before Superstorm Sandy struck Hoboken on October 29, 2012. The editors had time to assemble the stroller (make sure you keep the instructions handy since there are four steps) and assess it both pre- and post-disaster. Here are our thoughts.

Likes:

  • Very well-designed cupholder
  • Lightweight construction – we have been carrying the 200 up and down multiple flights of stairs for three weeks since Superstorm Sandy took all our elevators out of commission
  • Accommodates wide range of child sizes – the seven month old and six year old fit comfortably (weight limit is 50 lbs, product details are here)
  • Full recline
  • Sturdy frame easily supported hanging two full shopping bags from handles
  • Rain cover is included

Dislikes:

  • Lightweight and possibly flimsy material
  • Rain cover fits too tightly around child footrest
  • Complicated fold mechanism and harness buckle

The overall look and feel of the 200 is very similar to Maclaren umbrella strollers. Before Superstorm Sandy, the Metro Moms had a tough time choosing between the 200 and our beloved City Mini strollers when we headed out the door. Post Sandy? The 200 stroller is the only one we are using.  We grab the attached carry strap and sling it over one shoulder when we hit the stairs carrying schoolbags and the baby. The 200 is a comfortable ride for all the kids – they fight over who gets to sit in it.

Want to test drive the 200 and win one of your own? Come to the FREE Consulting Network luncheon on Friday, 12/14 in Hoboken, NJ and walk home with your brand-new 200. Other giveaways include the top-rated Kindle Paperwhite ereader.

  1. I noticed your site’s ranking in google’s search results
is very low. You are loosing a lot of traffic.
You need hi PR backlinks to rank in top 10.

I know – buying them is too expensive. It’s better to own them.
I know how to do that, simply google it:
