Metro Moms is based in Hoboken, New Jersey. The entire region was hard hit by Hurricane Sandy. Since the hurricane struck on October 29, 2012, several of our management team have evacuated and others are still without power. I am pleased to report that our team is all safe. Our site is on a temporary hiatus as we recover from the storm. We will be passing along pertinent recovery information on our Facebook page and Twitter feeds.

Our thoughts and prayers are with those throughout the region who have lost so much in the storm. We recommend that you stay tuned to the City of Hoboken’s website for information about Hoboken’s recovery.

There are many ways that you can help with the recovery effort.

  • City Hall is organizing volunteers for various jobs throughout the city. You can report to City Hall any day to see where help is needed.
  • Consider a donation to the Rebuild Hoboken Relief Fund.
  • Volunteer in Jersey City. A list of organizations is here.
  • Or consider a donation to one of the many nonprofit organizations currently providing support in Hoboken including The American Red Cross and many others.

Thanks for your messages of concern and support. We hope to be back online very soon.

Best regards,
Kathy Zucker, Metro Moms Network CEO
