Saturday Selections: Dogs, Arts & Native American Crafts
The Metro Moms are looking forward to a festive weekend. Rain and temps in the mid-sixties are in the forecast for the Hoboken area – stay dry in the theater. Here are our top picks:
- See books come to life with a theatrical production of the children’s classic Go Dog Go, by P.D. Eastman this Saturday, September 29 at 2pm and 5pm and Sunday, September 30 at 11am and 3pm. Dogs of all shapes, sizes, and colors will fill the stage during this physical comedy with music. See more at the Mile Square Theatre website, or peek inside the book at Amazon. Tickets start at $12.
- Funky painted cars, hand-knitted crafts, live rock music and a fenced-in kids area – the free Hoboken Arts & Music Festival is this Sunday, September 30 from 11am-6pm. Stroll down Washington Street and snack on funnel cakes from food stands. More at the City of Hoboken website.
- Enjoy storytelling, petting zoo, pumpkin patch plus Native American artifacts and crafts at the 31st annual Harvest Festival in Mountainside, NJ. Details are at the Trailside Nature & Science Center website. Tickets are $4 per person, kids under 7 attend free.
