Saturday Selections: DIY Crayons & Sea Life

The Metro Moms are recuperating from the start of school with some indoor activities this rainy weekend. Here are our top picks:

  • Recycle household trash to make your own school supplies at the free Back-2-School event this Saturday, September 8, from 10am-11am. at the Crop Shop in Hoboken. Make your own crayons and pencil holders; a little paint can do wonders. Details are at the Crop Shop website.
  • Grab some greens in between raindrops at the Hoboken Family Farmers Market this Saturday, September 8th from 9am-2pm. Fruits, veggies, prepared foods and kid activities. More munchies at the market website.
  • Delve into the depths of the sea with the Touch Tank this Sunday, September 9th from 10am-12pm. Learn how sea stars and sea urchins are kissing cousins and get inside a hermit crab’s shell. Details are at the Liberty Science Center website.
