The Metro Moms are looking forward to a sunny summer weekend, fingers crossed the Sunday rain stays away! Here are our top picks:

  • Introduce your kids to woodworking at free Lowes Build and Grow Kids Clinics this Saturday, August 25th at 10am and Sunday, August 26th at 2pm. Build a wood Shrek Onion Carriage toy and take home a free woodworking kit complete with apron and goggles. Details are at the Lowes website.
  • Get in the Olympic spirit with free kayaking in the Hudson River during Paddling in the Embayment this Saturday, August 25th from 12:30pm-6pm. Details are at the Hoboken Cove Boathouse website.
  • Get a last taste of summer at the free Heirloom Tomato Tasting Festival in uptown Hoboken on Sunday, August 26th from 1pm-5pm. Details are at the Hoboken Historical Museum website.
