Saturday Selections: Woodworking & Water
The Metro Moms are looking forward to a busy summer weekend. Here are our top picks:
- Introduce your kids to woodworking at free Lowes Build and Grow Kids Clinics this Saturday, July 14th at 10 am and Sunday, July 15th at 2pm. Build a wood Kung Fu Panda Spinning Attack toy and take home a free woodworking kit complete with apron and goggles. Details are at the Lowes website.
- Water: What’s it all about? Learn all about water with fun educational activities at the City of Water Day festival this Saturday, July 14th from 10am-4pm. Get the kids’ face painting at Liberty State Park and then take them on a free boat tour to Governors Island. For more information and a schedule of events, visit the festival website.
- Get out of the rain during the Monthly Gallery Walk on Sunday, July 15th from 2pm to 6pm during “Hoboken 3rd Sundays.” Indulge your inner Monet while the kids make art at the Hoboken Historical Museum, then pick out a piece for the living room from exhibitions of local artists at various galleries. What better way to get some exercise and enjoy some local artists at the same time? For more information, check out the City of Hoboken’s information page.
