Saturday Selections: Be Brave
The Metro Moms are looking forward to a busy weekend indoors out of the elements. Here are our top picks:
- With rain in the forecast, it’s time to hit the movies. Brave has been called “another home run for Pixar.” Who doesn’t love princesses and magic? Scotland is a bit of a novelty, but if it’s Disney/Pixar, we’ll take it. You can check out fiery Princess Merida in the Hoboken area on Saturday, June 30th and Sunday, July 1 from 11am-9:50pm, see movie showtimes.
- Special needs families, get ready to bring your kids to a special Sensory-Friendly Brave Screening this Saturday, June 30th at 10 am at Jersey Gardens AMC Theater. Details are at the Autism Society website.
- Looking for some more indoor fun? Check out the grand reopening of the Jersey City Museum this Saturday, June 30th with free admission from noon to 6 pm. Now exhibiting “Masters of the Collection” with paintings from the New York area such as scenes of West Point and Brooklyn. Kids under 12 get in free every day, details are at the museum website.
