Saturday Selections: State Fair + Free Outdoor Sports

The Metro Moms are looking forward to a busy weekend getting tips from animal trainers. Here are our top picks:

  • Take the kids to the circus, carnival and petting zoo all rolled into the State Fair Meadowlands. Open this Saturday, June 23rd from 2pm-2am and Sunday, June 24th from 2pm-12am, kids under 34″ tall get free admission. For the more adventurous, check out the shark tank.   • Get ready for London with Olympic Day this Saturday, June 23rd at 11am in downtown Hoboken. Meet Olympian Taraje Williams-Murray and channel your inner Olympian with a 5K run, soccer and gymnastics for kids. Details are at the City of Hoboken website.
  • Take the kids kayaking in the Hudson River with free Paddling in the Embayment this Saturday, June 24th from 10:30am-4pm. Details are at the Hoboken Cove Boathouse website.
