I live in Hoboken, New Jersey and have been happily married for over fifteen years. We have two young children. Since growing up in Ohio, I have reached New Jersey by way of Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, and Mexico City (yes, the one in Mexico). I am a stay-at-home mom and have enjoyed a variety of previous careers including management consulting, teaching piano, working as a volunteer coordinator at an orphanage, doing grant writing for a university, and serving on the board of a small foundation.
I write mostly flash fiction and serial stories in a variety of genres. Several of my stories have appeared in print and electronic publications. My story “Halloween Guests” was selected for the “Best of Friday Flash Volume 1” anthology. My micro-fiction “Ditz Alert” was selected for the chapbook “Dog Days of Summer 2010 – Not From Here, Are You?” I assisted with editing the charity anthology “50 Stories for Pakistan,” which includes my story “Arthur’s Emptiness” and “100 Stories for Queensland” which includes my story “Save Me Hay-Zeus.” In early 2010, I won the February writing challenge at “Write On Online” with my story “Waiting for Spring.”
I am a regular contributor to “Literary Mix Tapes,” a series of publications by Emergent Publishing including my story “Golden Opportunity” which appeared in “Nothing But Flowers” and a forthcoming story for their “Deck the Halls 2” collection. For more information about my published work and to read my musings on fiction, publishing and inspiration, check out my site: “Inspired by Real Life.”
I am also the co-moderator of “Tuesday Serial,” an online community for readers and writers of online serials.
I was a contributor to NY Metropolista online magazine in 2009. You can peruse my NY Metropolista articles here on my author page.
